# January 21 Middletown Council Meeting Update

1. **No update on the Early Learning (K-1) Center.** Keep in mind this was said [one day before the School Board meeting](https://www.middletownobserver.com/january-rose-tree-media-school-district/) on the 22nd. The current status is delayed until August 2029.
2. **Council is required to fill the currently vacant seat by March 4.** If you want to apply, the [deadline is February 27th at noon](https://middletownpa.govoffice.com/vertical/Sites/%7BE08CD8FE-6BF2-4104-AF8F-C16770381A63%7D/uploads/3rd%5FDistrict%5FCouncil%5FVacancy%5FNotice.pdf?ref=middletownobserver.com).
