K-1 Center Planning Commission Meeting Set for July 14th

It's tentatively scheduled to be held at Penn State Brandywine. All of this hinges on RTMSD submitting an Environmental Assessment.

  1. The proposed K-1 Center will be on the Middletown Planning Commission agenda on July 14th. It's tentatively scheduled to be held at Penn State Brandywine. All of this hinges on RTMSD submitting an Environmental Impact Assessment by the end of this month.
  2. Council discussed the new Pinnacle Car Wash, which will go in behind Middletown Pizza. They're going to put a speed bump (or larger speed "pillow") to slow people cutting through the car wash to turn down 452. They'll also do a post-development traffic study. After this, Council approved the development and it's going to move forward.
  3. Rocky Run Fire Company is going to relocate. Council started a committee to look at new locations. "This will likely be a two- to three-year, or possibly four year commitment," Township Manager John McMullan said.
  4. Extra notes. The expansion of Casa Mia will move forward and was approved by Council...There will be a brief ceremony on Saturday, May 25th at 8am at the Township Building for Memorial Day..."Passport to Middletown" will take place on May 30th. Stop at Cumberland Cemetery, Longview Park, and Middletown Township Historical Society to collect stamps and win a commemorative Middletown mug.
