Breaking: Planning Commission Vote on K-1 Center Pushed to Next Month

The Middletown Township Planning Commission did not vote on Rose Tree Media School District's proposed K-1 Early Learning Center, continuing the hearing into August.

The eventual Planning Commission vote result will be a recommendation and Township Council will make the final decision. The next Planning Commission meeting will take place on August 11. That meeting will have the district's traffic presentation and followed by public comment.

Over 100 residents attended in an overflow packed event. 28 people spoke during public comment, 10 in favor, and 18 against.

The Delaware County Planning Commission also recommended to approve the plan in June, with comments about wetlands, storm water management, and other caveats. As always, you can follow along by reading Middletown Observer.
