Council Recap: Manager Leaving, PennDOT Update
Today, I'm diving into the June 17th, 2026 Middletown Township Council Meeting.
I'm writing these posts to better understand what's happening in Middletown. Today, I'm diving into the June 17th Middletown Township Council Meeting.
Township Manager John McMullan announced he's leaving for another municipality in August.
I'll keep an eye out and report on whoever fills the role. Council will elect the next Township Manager by majority vote.
The PennDOT PEL Study was released for public view.
I covered this last week, but as a reminder, public comment is only open through July 17th.
'At Home' will apply for a variance to put up a bigger sign.
Apparently, the proposed new sign exceeds the maximum allowed size, so they'll ask the Zoning Board for an exemption.
The Environmental Committee met on June 16th.
No minutes on the site yet, but I'll update whenever I get them.
Other Notes
Trooper David Nguyen reported that over 6,000 citations were given out statewide for the new "Operation Hands Off". Middletown Free Library Director Derek Lloyd reported that the library had over 460 donors for Delco Gives Day. (Note: I am on the board of MFL. The views expressed on this blog are entirely my own and do not represent the official position, opinions, or policies of the Middletown Free Library Board of Trustees.)
As always, you can find a recording of the entire meeting here:
