K-1 Center July 14 Meeting Set; EMS Calls Surge
The Planning Commission meeting on the K-1 Center will be in the Student Union Building at Penn State Brandywine on July 14th.
Hello! I'm writing these posts to better understand what's happening in Middletown. Today, I'm diving into the June 3rd Middletown Township Council Meeting.
If you find this useful, please share it with someone you know. Have a suggestion or info for me? Just reply directly to this email.

The Planning Commission meeting on the K-1 Center will take palce in the Student Union Building at PSU Brandywine on July 14th. I've covered what Middletown residents have been saying about it, and will continue to report on public statements. Please note that I won't report on social media commentary.
New Project: Interactive Middletown maps
Council will soon vote on a professional services agreement with the County for an updated interactive map (to be hosted on middletowndelcopa.gov). This will refresh the current trail maps and also answer zoning questions.
We'll keep ballot boxes at the township building for at least another ten years.
Delco hosts the mail-in drop box and maintains the security camera operation. There have been no operational or security issues reported for that drop box in the past five years.
Extra Notes
Rocky Run EMS continues to see high volumes of calls. Fire responses are up slightly versus last year and EMS responses are up about 75%. Crozer closed in May of last year. They're also going to hire for an entirely new EMS Chief role.
Glen Riddle Road will have its speed limit reduced from 30 mph to 25 mph, and those rather intense curves will get new chevron signs. Howarth Road will also finally get a stop sign.
You can find video of the full meeting here.
